24 May 2015
Do you want to do something to help the environment? If so, start with your own home - by learning from what others have done and then work out what YOU can do! Come to the Green Open Homes event in Brickhill, Bedford, on 24th May and find out more.
Please note that this event has now finished.
On Sunday 24th May, Brickhill BEE Group is holding its second Green Open Homes event, to build on the first event which took place in January 2014.
As last year, residents will be showcasing their homes, to allow visitors to see the way that they have made their homes more energy efficient or have taken advantage of renewable energy options.
We will aim to show a range of properties to give examples of different technologies ranging from better insulation, through solar PV and solar thermal, through to heat pumps.
The homes will be linked by the Green Energy Trail. You can join the trail at any of the homes taking part, but the best place to do so is at St Mark's Church Community Centre, Calder Rise, Brickhill, Bedford MK41 7UY. St Mark's is taking part in the Green Open Homes event this year. It may not be a home, but it is a great example of how a building can be adapted to run in a low-carbon way.
